2002 Cuban Conference

Co-sponsored by Stanford and The Disarm Education Fund, the first International Conference of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery took place from November 11-14, 2002, in Havana, Cuba. Some 240 physicians attended this conference, including leading specialists from the United States.

While in Havana, Dr. Schendel and his colleagues participated in meetings and discussions with Cuban physicians, and performed surgery to highlight the new techniques of this specialty.
